Sadie Amara Calvano is an actress from America who has garnered fame as the character Violet Plunkett in the CBS sitcom "Mom". Calvano grew up in California, and initially was interested in competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue an acting career. She made her screen debut in 2010 in a segment of CBS series 'NCIS'. In the biographical crime drama movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance in front of the camera a few months later. Through the years, she's proven herself as among the most promising actors in the industry. She was nominated in the year 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 for her role in NCIS. In 2013 she was also nominated for another Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy series, 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was part of the ensemble cast of Mom throughout its first three seasons and was featured numerous times during the fourth. Calvano's performance in the role of a rising star on Mom earned her an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is given to outstanding female actors.
