Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. Her first roles on Broadway include the productions Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The actress was awarded an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in the Play to play Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with actors, directors, and directors on stage and screen for all of her career. Ashford's upcoming project is an exclusive Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford currently is working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway in March 2023, where he'll play Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This show is being conducted by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is a remake of the story that took place in the year 2000. She has also appeared in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde as well as in the initial performance as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for an Tony Award. Growing up in Denver Ashford has now divided the time in Los Angeles and New York.
